As we enter into the most sacred week of our Church year Holy Week, we are invited not just to remember what happened to Jesus, but to walk with Him. From Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, we journey step by step through the greatest true story ever told: a story of love, sacrifice, and new life.
This is a week for every one of us, children, families, and individuals alike to experience something deeply meaningful.
On Palm Sunday, we begin with joy. We wave our palms and welcome Jesus as King. But very quickly, the tone changes. We hear the Passion. We witness how the same crowd that shouted “Hosanna!” would later cry out, “Crucify Him.” Here we begin to understand something important: how easily hearts can change and how faithful Jesus remains.
On Holy Thursday, we enter the Upper Room. We watch as Jesus kneels to wash the feet of His disciples. The King becomes a servant. Then, in a moment that changes everything, He gives us the Eucharist, His Body and Blood. Jesus doesn’t just tell us He loves us… He gives Himself to us completely. We learn that love is not just words, it is humble, self-giving action.
On Good Friday, we stand at the foot of the Cross. This is a quiet and powerful day. We see Jesus suffer. We hear His final words. We watch Him give everything for us. What do we witness here? The depth of God’s love. Jesus does not run from the Cross, He embraces it, for you, for me, for all of us. On this day, we come to understand: we are never alone in our suffering. Christ is with us.
On Holy Saturday, there is silence. The tomb is sealed. It feels like everything is lost. And yet this day teaches us something we all need to remember: God is still at work, even in the silence, even in the darkness, even when we cannot see.
Then comes Easter Sunday. The stone is rolled away. The tomb is empty. Christ is risen!
And what do we gain from this journey?
We gain hope—that death is not the end. We gain peace—that sin does not have the final word. We gain faith—that God keeps His promises. And most of all, we gain a deeper understanding of love. A love so powerful that it conquers even death.
Holy Week is not just something we observe, it is something we are invited to enter into. Bring yourself, your family. Bring your children. Let them see, hear, and experience this story. These moments can shape hearts for a lifetime.
Walk with Jesus this week. Stand with Him. Pray with Him. Stay with Him.
And then rejoice with Him. Because the Cross is not the end of the story.
THE RESURRECTION IS.
With my prayers for you and your family this Holy Week,
