It is with mixed emotions that we opened for our first public Mass since the pandemic closed the churches on June 14.. There is great joy for the ability to worship together, to celebrate and receive the Eucharist again. And, there is an element of sadness that we still cannot gather as we once had, with our full community and in the physical manner that helps us to more fully participate and grow together as a community. However, we are thankful for this first step and wait in joyful hope for the time when we are able to do so.
With a reservation system, as foreign as that may feel, we can:
ensure that we do not need to turn anyone away at our doors.
be able to utilize effective contact tracing. Should someone who attended Mass later finds out they had the virus during that time, we can easily reach out to all others to notify them of their exposure.
