Liturgical ministry is an excellent opportunity to fulfill your baptismal call of service to one another. Our liturgies utilize the talents and gifts that God has given this community to the fullest extent. Whether participation is through “behind the scenes” preparation and planning or through a public role of service within the Mass, parishioner contributions help our liturgies to be truly life-giving celebrations. Please prayerfully consider joining one of these ministries. Training is provided for all ministries.
USHERS & GREETERS
In the Old Testament tradition the "door-keeper" was an exalted office, one of great trust. Currently, this liturgical Ministry of Hospitality is highly visible and vital to the saving work of the Church.
Greeters and ushers welcome and seat those gathering for worship, and are responsible for the collection of offerings at weekend or other liturgies. At the entrances to the church they welcome and assist the gathering assembly, especially anyone who is new to our parish or has special needs. At the end of Mass some hand out bulletins. At some celebrations they hand out worship aids and collect them afterwards. We welcome women and men (teens and adults) who would like to serve in this ministry. Please contact Mary if you would like to serve in this ministry.
ART & ENVIRONMENT
The Art and Environment committee prepares and enhances our community's worship spaces with plants, fabric, lighting, and furnishings for the church's liturgical seasons. Our goal is to have our worship space enhance the reverence and awe of the liturgy so that the assembly is drawn into a deeper awareness of the presence of God both in the space and within them as community.

AV & TECH MINISTRy
Did you happen to watch a live-streamed Mass from St. Elizabeth parish or any other this past year, and wonder “How did they do that?” Do you like working with the latest computer, mobile, and audio/visual gadgets? Do you like the feeling you get after you’ve made a positive contribution to your community and parish? Do you enjoy working and sharing ideas with a team that makes a difference every Sunday at 10:45 AM? If you answered yes to any of these then you might be interested in working with the Apple Valley Catholic Community AV Team.
We are looking for enthusiastic, dependable members to join us on a rotational basis to Live Stream the 10:45a Sunday Mass. We have the latest technology, a strong team, and pre-set scenes already to go. We are looking for volunteers on a rotating basis every 2-4 weeks. We have it down to a step-by step process of set-up, test, verify, and operate the consoles, and tear-down. We will “show you the ropes” (and the wires), and you can start contributing as fast as you are comfortable. We work in teams of two or three, so we are always helping each other in the live settings. In addition, we also have behind-the-scenes work that we do to keep our parish’s audio-visual experience bug-free and up to date. We love our jobs, we love that it matters to many people who enjoy this service, and we have a strong team ethic that fosters creative problem-solving and new ideas. Please contact Fr. Jeff at frjeff@avcatholic.org
We can’t wait to have you be part of it!
