Liturgical ministry is an excellent opportunity to fulfill your baptismal call of service to one another. Our liturgies utilize the talents and gifts that God has given this community to the fullest extent. Whether participation is through “behind the scenes” preparation and planning or through a public role of service within the Mass, parishioner contributions help our liturgies to be truly life-giving celebrations. Please prayerfully consider joining one of these ministries. Training is provided for all ministries.
USHERS & GREETERS
In the Old Testament tradition the "door-keeper" was an exalted office, one of great trust. Currently, this liturgical Ministry of Hospitality is highly visible and vital to the saving work of the Church.
Greeters and ushers welcome and seat those gathering for worship, and are responsible for the collection of offerings at weekend or other liturgies. At the entrances to the church they welcome and assist the gathering assembly, especially anyone who is new to our parish or has special needs. At the end of Mass some hand out bulletins. At some celebrations they hand out worship aids and collect them afterwards. We welcome women and men (teens and adults) who would like to serve in this ministry. Please contact Mary if you would like to serve in this ministry.
ART & ENVIRONMENT
The Art and Environment committee prepares and enhances our community's worship spaces with plants, fabric, lighting, and furnishings for the church's liturgical seasons. Our goal is to have our worship space enhance the reverence and awe of the liturgy so that the assembly is drawn into a deeper awareness of the presence of God both in the space and within them as community.
